also commonly called Mimosa catechu is used for diarrhea, swelling of the nose and throat, dysentery, swelling of the colon (colitis), bleeding, indigestion, osteoarthritis, and cancer. It also has external uses.

Used in traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of cancers, infections and other diseases. Hedotis’ active peptides target directly bacterial membranes.
